Getting Started

I'm finally getting started with my blog. Well not exactly getting started, I am midstream building my profile and business has a fine artist. Getting started with a Blog is one of the many things on my list to accomplish in this journey.
Allow me to start by introducing myself. My name is Susanna Salim, I have been painting and making arts and crafts for most of my life. There's so many things about my journey as an artist that I would like to share about but starting from the beginning just seems so far displaced from where I am today. So I decided to just jump in talk about what I'm doing today and filter in my stories from the past for future blogs.
I'm really excited about finally completing this cute little Studio that started out as a storage shed. I realized the space was large enough to include a studio for painting. This prompted me to go through my storage items and get rid of as much stuff as I could so I would have more space for creating art.
I am the type of person that celebrates the good times and when life is challenging I look for the meaning or opportunity out of these challenging times. About six months ago my unit at a reputable Storage Company I was robbed. I was devastated, angry and Powerless. I remember thinking, I really hope something great comes out of this circumstance. I knew that if I could just let it go and move on with my life that perhaps I could find the reason.
At the time I had two storage units. I decided to stop spending money on them and bring all my belongings to one storage shed where I live. I knew I would have to get rid of some things and sort through everything. As I began building my storage shed I realize I had much more space than I needed. I had been watching a series about tidying Up. On television and I was doing a remarkable job of letting go of items that no longer brought me joy. Bringing all my paintings out of storage, with all my art supplies together and with the extra space available, I decided to make part of the space an art studio.
Now, as I round the corner to completing my space, I'm able to look back and see how that unfortunate event brought me the opportunity to have this new studio. I knew something great would come from it.
